Orange refits London store for Chelsea FC promotion

Orange is rebranding its King’s Road store in London as the official mobile phone shop of Chelsea Football Club as part of its partnership deal with the Premiership champions.

The shop’s window display will feature an enlarged Subbuteo Chelsea footballer, Orange footballs, Chelsea flags and scarves and blue ticker tape.

Once inside the store, customers will be taken down a tunnel to the main football area, which will include stalls, football goals, corner flags, electric scoreboards and iconic images.

Customers will also be able to have their pictures taken with a virtual Chelsea team in the store’s basement, register for Orange’s new Fantasy Football game and play in a weekly table football competition to win t-shirts, DVDs and a table football game.

The deal, which runs until October, is part of Orange’s “Your Club” promotion. Orange customers can text “FOOTBALL” to 247 to personalise their mobile phones to any club in the Premiership, Football League or Scottish Premier League with club ringtones, wallpapers and news services.

The promotion is being supported by a print campaign in the national, regional press, a month-long campaign on TalkSport and point-of-purchase activity.
