Orange showcases young artists in ads

Orange could feature work from young artists in its advertising and below-the-line activity as part of a new initiative to help showcase emerging talent.

The mobile giant has created the Orange Future Artists Fund in partnership with the Young Creatives Network.

The fund is seeking work across a variety of different disciplines such as photography, painting and animation and the successful submissions will be added to the Orange brand image library, which is used by the company’s marketing teams and agencies.

Orange senior design manager Ben Spencer, who developed the project, says: “Brands need to remain fresh to remain powerful and we’re tapping into a world of incredible talent that’s just waiting to break free.”

Orange is already involved in a variety of art projects, notably with the Orange British Academy Awards and the Orange Prize for Fiction.

The Young Creatives Network is a member-based organisation set up to support and showcase emerging talent in design and communication.
