Palm reveals former Cadbury marketer as EMEA marketing director

Mark Doorbar, the former marketing director at RHM Culinary Brands, has joined mobile computer company Palm as marketing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He has already taken over the role.

Doorbar, who is a former a Cadbury Schweppes and PepsiCo marketer, will be responsible for marketing communications, brand building and product marketing for Palm. He will also be charged with developing the company’s presence in the region.

He joined RHM, where he was responsible for a range of brands including Sharwoods, Paxo and Bisto gravy, in 2005 in a consultancy role. He later took over the role of marketing director following the departure of Katherine Rose after less than a year (MW September 15, 2005).

His has been replaced at RHM by Harriet Rhys Williams, who was previously group marketing development manager for the company.

Doorbar will report to Roy Bedlow, Palm vice-president of EMEA. Palm makes a range of handheld computing devices for the consumer and business markets. These include smartphones, software, services and accessories.
