Pandas get the ‘Lynx Effect’
Lynx has taken the unusual step of sponsoring the panda mating programme at Edinburgh Zoo, as part of its ongoing campaign to support the launch of its Lynx Attract variant for women.
The brand hopes that the ‘Lynx Effect’ will encourage the pandas to mate.
While the pandas will not actually use Lynx, the brand hopes that its expertise in developing fragrances and marketing designed to attract men and women will boost the zoo’s efforts to breed the pandas and result in the first panda cub ever to be born in the UK.
The giant pandas, Tian Tian and Yang Guang, are on loan from China for 10 years.
Pandas are an endangered species and are notoriously difficult to breed as females will only mate for three days a year.
