Robinson is believed to have been on gardening leave from 888.com since leaving in May. He had been with 888 for more than five years and was previously UK marketing manager

The appointment comes a day after it was announced that former European managing director of Centrebet, John Welch had replaced Jon Salmon as PartyGaming’s chief marketing officer.

It is not known whether Salmon, who joined PartyGaming only 11 months ago, has a job to go.

Gibraltar-based PartyGaming has a number of brands including PartyPoker, PartyCasino and PartyBingo.

Earlier this year, PartyGaming agreed a deal with broadcaster Five year to launch a bingo and casino gaming service. The “premium” online service will be operated by PartyGaming and marketed by Five.

Yesterday (July 23), PartyGaming bought bingo and casino operator Cashcade, which owns the Foxy Bingo and Think Bingo brands.

A spokesman for PartyGaming declined to comment.
