PepsiCo appoints global sales and marketing exec

PepsiCo has promoted UK and Ireland president Salman Amin to the role of executive vice president of sales and marketing.

He will report to PepsiCo chief executive Indra Nooyi on global brands and marketing responsibilities. He will also report to John Compton, chief executive of PepsiCo Americas Foods.

Amin will lead a global integrated sales and marketing strategy and drive the company’s international marketing agenda for beverages and foods.

Amin first joined PepsiCo in 1995. Serving most recently as president of PepsiCo UK and Ireland, he helped steer growth of the company’s Walkers snack foods, Quaker breakfast cereals, and Tropicana and Copella fruit juices and smoothies businesses.

He has previously worked for ten years with Procter & Gamble, where he held a variety of brand management positions working with hair care, paper, and food and beverage brands in the US, Germany, Middle East and Asia.

Amin will be replaced by Richard Evans, currently Walkers Snack Foods general manager.

Earlier this month it was announced that PepsiCo global chief marketing officer Jill Beraud was to move into the same role at PepsiCo Americas Beverages.
