Pernod Ricard’s Martin Riley named WFA president
Pernod Ricard’s chief marketing officer Martin Riley has been unveiled as the president of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA).
Riley (pictured), recently profiled by Marketing Week, will hold the post for two years with an option to extend for one more. He will replace former AB Inbev CMO Chris Burggraeve who has been in the post since 2010.
The WFA, the self-proclaimed “voice of marketers worldwide”, is currently celebrating its 60th anniversary. Member companies include Coca-Cola, Diageo, P&G and Unilever.
Riley will be responsible for leading the WFA’s efforts to champion responsible marketing and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing spend.
