PGA European Tour signs UPS as key sponsor

The PGA European Tour has signed UPS, the global transportation and logistics company, as a key sponsor. The new professional golf tour replaces the Order of Merit event.

The four-year global partnership with the golf tournament will see UPS sponsor six events each year across Europe and Asia, including its flagship event, the BMW PGA Championship, held at Wentworth Club in Surrey in May 2009.

In addition, UPS will provide transportation and logistical support for the worldwide tour, which oversees a schedule of 53 tournaments spanning more than 24 countries on five continents.
