PHD North has won the £1.5m media planning and buying accounts for drinks brands Orangina and Strathmore without a pitch.

The appointment follows A.G. Barr’sacquisition of the Orangina brand from Cadbury Schweppes, as part of the sale of its European beverage business last year.

The Orangina account was previously handled by Starcom, while water brand Strathmore is a new addition to the soft drinks company’s portfolio with PHD tasked with managing the launch brief.

PHD North already holds the accounts for other brands within Barr’s portfolio including the Irn-Bru range, Tizer and St Clements. The account moved from PHD in London to the Manchester-based PHD North last summer with media director Jason Spencer. He has since been promoted to managing director.
