PHD North wins brief for menopause test launch

PHD North has been handed the task of launching health company Novogen’s Menopause Test Kit.

The media agency won a pitch to provide planning and buying services, with the brand due to be backed by an initial burst of activity this autumn. Television and press will form the bulk of the work, and further activity is planned for next year.

Novogen UK manager Steve Beck says: “The menopause test kit will give women clarity in a period of great uncertainty and enable them to make decisions about managing their ongoing health. The awareness created by the TV and press campaigns will provide great impetus to the overall natural menopause market, as well as our brands.”

PHD North account director Jo Atkins adds: “It has been exciting working on this launch, because everyone is concerned nowadays about the effects and side-effects of prescribed drugs. and Novogen have invested in a natural menopause health supplement.”

Creative work is through West Midlands-based integrated agency Connect.

Novogen develops and produces healthcare products to prevent and treat degenerative diseases and disorders, including cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis and neurological disorders.

Based in Australia, it produces both prescription and non-prescription drugs.

PHD North recently won the 5m UK media planning and buying business for US insurer AIG, which sponsors Manchester United.
