Pokerstars.com to sponsor snooker Masters

Pokerstars.com has signed a deal to sponsor the 2010 Masters snooker tournament.

The deal will see the tournament called the Pokerstars.com Masters. It will take place at Wembley Arena and starts 10 January.

The deal gives the online poker room exclusive naming rights and branding opportunities throughout the 2010 Masters tournament.

Pokerstars will also have access to VIP tickets for all sessions, signed merchandise and its own private function room as part of the agreement.

Ronnie O’Sullivan, who won the Masters last year will defend his title against players such as Stephen Hendry, John Higgins and Jimmy White.

Emma Crowe, Pokerstars regional marketing director ,says: “Becoming title sponsor of the 2010 Masters is a fantastic opportunity for Pokerstars as it aligns us with snooker’s most prestigious event. The association will continue Pokerstars tradition of aligning itself with premier sporting events and talent, whilst also enabling snooker fans an insight into the world’s premier online poker room.”
