Proof that marketing is going to pot

This business isn’t all about brand profile, you know. Marketers are always nattering on about how they’re “growing the market”, and “growing sales”, but Jon Fricker (right) and Nick Watson (left) from marketing communications agency Haygarth have decided to use the word less inelegantly for once and have actually been growing some plants.

The pair have been taking part in Turf Wars, a gardening game show to be aired on UK Style (it’s between the Wildfowl Channel and Leg Waxxx TV on your electronic programme guide) in the new year, and are pictured here having a well-deserved smoke (insert your own joke about what kind of pot plants they’ve been cultivating).

Their entry, shown here, features poinsettias-of-purchase and pitch-unias, all planted in neat (bill)borders. And, as it was designed by marketers, there’s plenty of manure…
