Publicis London wins luxury airline account

Publicis London has won the global advertising account for the executive jet charter service Comlux Aviation Group.

Publicis London won the account after a pitch against unnamed European agencies.

The agency already handles a number of aviation clients, including Airbus, Eurocopter and easyJet.

Comlux Aviation Group was founded in Zurich in 2003 and operates a worldwide fleet for private customers, heads of state and commercial luxury charter operators. Earlier this year it took delivery of its second Airbus A318 Elite.

Competitors in its sector include Bookajet, which is based in Farnborough. The company has previously worked with David and Victoria Beckham as clients and sponsors Bath Rugby.

Comlux head of marketing and communications Severine Cosma says: “Our target market is discreet, global and above all highly discerning. Publicis, with its experienced and international network of group communications services, is a natural fit.”

The airline industry has seen a severe impact from the global recession with, business and first-class bookings dipping on flag carriers, such as British Airways. Last year business class-only airline Silverjet folded after it failed to secure a rescue deal.
