Pugh exits Titan Outdoor

David%20PughTitan Outdoor UK chief executive David Pugh is leaving the outdoor advertising company at the end of this month. Pugh, the former Maiden Outdoor managing director, was promoted to chief executive following Titan’s acquisition of the business in March this year.

The former Telegraph Group marketing director will be replaced by Jon Slatkin, who joins from Alix Partners, a consultancy appointed by Titan, a US company, at the time of the sale. It is thought that Pugh is leaving the outdoor sector and has intimated that he will return in a new role early next year.

Maiden became a target for takeovers after failing to bed down a number of contract wins, which rivals felt the group had paid too much for. However, Titan, owned by Bill Apfelbaum, soon became the only bidder, taking the company private.

Pugh informed colleagues of his depature earlier today, telling them: "It has been a privilege to work with you all during this ‘transition’ phase: but the time is now right for me to move on and for Titan to have a new leader for the UK business."
