PZ Cussons pledges focus on ‘right brands in the right sizes’
Carex and Original Source owner PZ Cussons identifies strengthening its brand building capabilities as a strategic priority for 2025, as it chases profitable growth.
Despite claiming to be a “more focused business”, PZ Cussons indicated it still has “much more” to do to transform its business amid declining revenues in its European and Americas business.
The FMCG business, which owns brands including Carex, Original Source and Childs Farm, has been working to simplify its organisation with the goal of “unlocking the full potential of the business”.
Reporting its results today (18 September), PZ Cussons generated £527.9m revenue in the year to 31 May, a 4.4% like-for-like increase versus 2023.
However, in Europe and the Americas region like-for-like revenue declined by 1.9%. Volumes fell 2.1% in the year, with pricing boosting revenues up slightly at 0.2%.
