RAB managing director named

RadioCentre, the body representing commercial radio, has appointed Simon Redican as managing director of the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB).

Redican joins RAB from News International were he was a media account director.

He will report to RadioCentre chief executive Andrew Harrison and take up the position at the end of May.

The announcement follows the recent appointment of Martina King as non-executive chairman and comes a week before RAB relaunches itself.

Harrison says: “I am absolutely delighted that we have appointed Simon as the new MD of the RAB. He has spent most of his career in media planning. He loves radio and his knowledge and experience is a terrific complement to Martina’s digital background.”
