Radio stations ready Australia promotions
Global Radio and Absolute have both signed partnerships with Australian tourism bodies to promote the country to British holidaymakers ahead of Australia Day next week.
Global has signed a deal with Tourism Australia for its Heart and XFM London radio brands to promote holidays in Australia in the build up to the country’s national day next Tuesday (26 January).
Meanwhile, Absolute will launch a week long promotion next Monday (25 November) with the tourist body for Australian state, Victoria.
The radio station will broadcast live from Melbourne and give away a holiday to the city every day on the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show. Absolute DJ Ben Jones will also present his Night Live show from Victoria’s capital.
The Global Radio partnership will include competitions on Heart to win bespoke 10-day holidays to Australia, while XFM London activity includes a “music holiday” giveaway.
Australian actor and Heart presenter Jason Donovan will also co-host with Toby Anstis’ Heart show.
