The listings title, which is owned by BBC Worldwide, the BBC’s commercial publishing arm, will now include what it claims is the first weekly guide to catch-up television and radio on iPlayer and other digital services in a magazine or newspaper.

The magazine is adding eight editorial pages, redesigning its listings section including Freeview channels and redesigning its cover.

The first of the revamped issues stars Joanna Lumley on the cover, who was last week revealed as the face of a new £2m advertising campaign for Müller Vitality.

Lumley was also named as the most positive celebrity role model in Marketing Week’s cover story on celebrity brand ambassadors.

The Radio Times has also expanded its radio section with a column by broadcaster of the year, Eddie Mair.

The TV section has been expanded with more comment on terrestrial and digital programmes from the Radio Times’ critics.

Radio Times editor Ben Preston says: “Radio Times wants to be at the heart of the national conversation and showcasing the very best writers from Rory Bremner, to John Humphrys, to Chrissy Iley, to Libby Purves.”
