Reebok rolls-out virtual shopping

Reebok is to launch its first virtual shop at www.reebok.co.uk in partnership with online retailer Kitbag.com.

The store will open in June and will be be the sportswear brand’s e-commerce debut.

The store will sell Reebok products rarely found on the high street. These include an exclusive range for the online store and imported US Reebok products, previously unavailable in the UK.

Reebok UK head of interactive Nigel Hill says: “Through our partnership with Kitbag, we are seeing new opportunities opening up. Most importantly, Reebok.co.uk will enable us to talk directly to our consumers.”

Reebok’s competitor Nike already sells online, but Adidas has yet to provide a similar service for UK customers, although it does provide an online catalogue, listing products available in the shops.

Last month, Reebok’s global marketing chief Angel Martinez stepped down after 21 years (MW April 19). He cited family reasons for his departure.
