The shake-up of senior management signals the company’s difficulties in arriving at a coherent business strategy for the UK.

The drinks company has brought in John Mangiacapra from the Paris head office as managing director of the UK operation, a role he held six years ago.

Mangiacapra replaces Sir Jeremy Black, who was appointed md in September, and who reverts to his former role as non-executive chairman.

At the same time, commercial director Peter Raycraft, who handled marketing responsibilities for the company after the departure of marketing director Dominic Ebery (MW July 7), has resigned. It is unclear how he will be replaced.
