Revealed: The industry’s top Marketoonist cartoon of all time
Tom Fishburne, aka the Marketoonist, has drawn more than 900 cartoons over the past 20 years and now the industry’s favourite has been chosen.
‘Stay focused’ has been voted as the marketing industry’s favourite Marketoonist cartoon of all time, following a public vote.
The cartoon from January 2015 won with 23.5% of the vote, which Marketing Week set up to celebrate 20 years of the Marketoonist.
Over the past two decades, Tom Fishburne – the man behind the Marketoonist – has drawn more than 900 witty cartoons depicting the highs and lows of marketing.
After carefully selecting 10 from the vast archive it was then down to Marketing Week readers to decide which should come out on top.
The winning cartoon depicts what Fishburne describes as “an evergreen challenge in marketing” – the need to stay focused when there are “so many shiny new things to catch our attention”.
Coming in second with 16.2% of the vote was ‘Brand loyalty’, one of his earliest cartoons from May 2005. This was followed by ‘Digital transformation’ from April 2020 on 14.7%, showing how relevant his cartoons continue to be throughout the years.
