Revlon names UK marketing chief

Revlon has appointed a new director of UK marketing as it restructures its global marketing setup.

The company, which makes cosmetics, skin care, fragrance, and personal care products, has hired former PZ Cussons marketer Adelaide Sharples.

She replaces Graeme Bralsford, who left last September and is now interim group marketing director at aromatherapy brand Decleor, Carita and Shiseido.

She will oversee brand, media and PR strategy for the UK.

Sharples’ appointment comes as Revlon announces the appointment of ex-Coca Cola GB marketing director Julia Goldin as its new senior vice president and global chief marketing officer.

Revlon says that Goldin will be responsible for expanding global reach through marketing activity across Revlon’s brand portfolio which includes ColorSilk hair dyes, Charlie fragrances and ColorStay lipsticks.

The CMO role is being recreated after it was axed in 2006, alongside the chief creative officer and marketing director roles, in a bid to save costs.

Sharples was previously general manager of commercial at PZ Cussons and vice president of marketing for the USA at Alliance Boots.
