RHM Foods picks ex-Quaker boss for cakes position

Former Quaker marketing chief Jill Caseberry is understood to have taken a senior marketing role at RHM Foods.

It is believed that Caseberry will work on the Lyons, Mr Kipling and Cadbury cake lines, which previously made up RHM’s Manor Bakeries division. RHM streamlined its structure by reorganising the business from four divisions to three earlier this year (MW March 17).

About this time, bread bakeries divisional marketing director Paula Moss left for personal reasons. Manor Bakeries marketing director Kate Taylor took over her duties. The parent company also lost Centura Foods marketing director Katherine Rose after less than a year in the job.

RHM called a review of its &£9.8m agency roster as part of the restructure and appointed McCann Erickson to handle the Bisto and Sharwood’s brands.

The review encompassed the bread bakeries division, which includes the Hovis brand, handled by DDB London, and the Mr Kipling brand, which appointed WCRS to its account last May (MW May 27, 2004).

Caseberry moves to RHM from PepsiCo, where she was sidelined to a sales role after the parent company scrapped her position as Quaker Oats commercial director. The move followed UK president Martin Glenn’s decision to merge the management teams of Pepsi, Walkers, Tropicana and Quaker Oats (MW October 23, 2003).
