When McCann-Erickson joint managing director Chris Hunton told the Diary he was going to run the London Marathon in a Mini, it was natural to assume he meant the micro stretch skirt type.
Imagine our surprise when, the day after the race, a picture turned up of Hunton, along with Cereal Partners’ marketing director Dez Timmiss, strapped into a Mini car.
Now we know account directors will do almost anything to keep the client happy – but Cereal Partners, maker of Cheerios and Golden Grahams, isn’t even handled by McCann.
But &£15,000 raised for the British Brain and Spine Foundation and the Visually Impaired Children’s Trust is certainly not to be sniffed at. A great effort by a great set of wheels!
