Seven Publishing commercial chief to join rival

god%20busSeven Publishing commercial director Nadia Dawson is leaving the company to join Hachette Filipacchi as group publisher of Red and Psychologies magazine next month. Dawson will report to chairman Kevin Hand.

At Seven, Dawson was responsible for all commercial activities across its customer magazines including the Sainsbury’s portfolio, Fortum and Mason and ASOS magazine, which has recently been taken in-house by the online retailer.

Prior to that, Dawson worked for the National Magazine Company for 17 years in roles including promotions director on Cosmopolitan, publisher of She and also publishing director of House Beautiful.

Dawson’s appointment has triggered some other senior changes at the magazine, with Rita Lewis, group publisher of Elle and Elle Decoration taking on responsibility for teen girl’s title Sugar.

Meanwhile Christina Della Fera, who has returned from maternity leave this month, has taken up a new role of associate publisher of Sugar reporting to Lewis. She was previously senior brand manager of Sugar, Inside Soap, All About Soap and Real.

Former group publisher Judith Secombe was recently made sales director. Marketing and digital director Anna Jones will continue in her role as acting publisher until Dawson joins next month.
