You might be safer staying at home than catching a bus in Leicester at the moment. “Why?” I hear you ask. Well, it’s like this – what are marketers good at? You’d be scared, wouldn’t you? You might be picturing your multi-million pound ad spend going down the toilet.

But what if it was the other way around? What if you found that the bus you were on was driven by a marketer? Not so worried, maybe? Really? Well, as you’ve so much faith in your fellow marketers, it may not come as much of a surprise that Arriva’s marketing director, Catherine Mason, has just gained her Passenger Carrying Vehicle licence.

At least you can be relieved that someone with some idea of what it means to drive a bus is in charge of marketing at a bus company…
