Sheraton Hotels owner appoints senior vice-president

Starwood Hotels has appointed Oliver Bonke its senior vice-president, sales and marketing for Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME). He previously held the same role at its Asia Pacific division.

Bonke, who takes over the role next month, will oversee global sales, brand marketing, revenue management, external communication, online marketing, creative services and customer contact centre functions of the hotel group’s EAME division.

He is also a former managing director and chief marketing officer of ArabellaSheraton joint venture between Starwood and Schorghuber Group in Europe.

Starwood Hotels has almost 900 properties in its portfolio, which includes the brands Le Mereidien, Westin and Sheraton brands.
