The year-long advertising and sponsorship deal sees Singapore Airlines work with the flagship Discovery Channel. Activity will include a range of sponsorship bumpers that include “fun facts” about the airline’s Airbus A380 passenger jet.

Singapore Airlines has also developed a co-branded luxury travel microsite linked to Discovery’s new UK and Ireland website. The microsite will include articles on the latest cabin products and destination guides and will promote a quarterly competition that will also be highlighted on the TV channel.

Activity begins tomorrow (7 January) and the sponsorship was brokered by MEC Access.

Tony Lusk, sales and marketing manager UK & Ireland for the airline, says: “Our two brands are a natural fit, sharing some core values, including the importance of harnessing the latest technologies for the benefit of our customers.”

Singapore Airlines will also launch a series of television advertisements showcasing exclusive features.
