Sketchley task won by Team Saatchi

Saatchi & Saatchi’s new integrated agency Team Saatchi (MW January 27) has won the £2m account for dry-cleaning chain Sketchley and its sister company photo processor SupaSnaps.

This is Team Saatchi’s first new business win since it was formed through the merger of Saatchi subsidiaries Saatchi Business and Equator at the beginning of this year. Likely media for the campaign is thought to include newspapers and radio.

Sketchley’s advertising was previously handled in-house while the SupaSnaps account was handled by Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising.

The appointment follows the arrival of John Jackson as new chief executive of Sketchley last October. He announced plans to appoint an agency to build on Sketchley’s brand strengths and said he wanted to add further businesses to the group’s portfolio.

The chain has 750 outlets under the Sketchley and SupaSnaps photoprocessing brands.

Jackson had previously worked on the bid for the National Lottery for Richard Branson and was managing director of Body Shop.

Among Team Saatchi’s other accounts are Ciba Engineering and Thameslink.
