Skoda launches TV ad for new Roomster MPV

Skoda is launching a TV campaign to support its recently launched Roomster model, marking its first foray into the people carrier category.

Car manufacturer Skoda is launching a new TV campaign to support its recently launched Skoda Roomster model, marking its first foray into the people carrier category.

The campaign has been developed by Fallon, the agency largely credited with leading the brand’s revival in 2000 with the “It’s a Skoda. Honest” campaign. It is part of a continued effort to drive the brand into the mainstream market.

The new ads will appear across national TV during the Christmas period featuring the strapline “Skoda. Manufacturer of Happy Drivers.”

The creative depicts images of the new Roomster being built accompanied by “happy” human voices, rather than the harsh sounds normally associated with the manufacturing process.

The campaign was directed by Fallon creative director Andy McLeod, who worked alongside art director Matt Doman and copywriter Ian Heartfield.
