Soccernet revamps site

Leading soccer Website Soccernet has been relaunched this week, in an attempt to raise audience levels and improve access capacity for the site in the run-up to the World Cup.

The revamped site, owned by the Daily Mail, will be based at the Florida headquarters of US sports service Sportsline.

The switch to the Sportsline server system should solve the problem of bottlenecks which Soccernet’s users have been experiencing, according to site editor Greg Hadfield.

The redesign should also significantly boost the number of page views and advertising opportunities generated by visitors to the site.

Soccernet currently has 150,000 visitors a week, and generates 2 million page impressions a week.
