Sony appoints UK marketing head for home entertainment

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) has appointed Darren Goode as UK marketing director. He takes over the role from Andy Armstrong, who was promoted to managing director in February.

Goode, who takes over the role immediately, will work closely with Armstrong to develop the business. Armstrong was marketing director for nine years before being promoted to managing director. He replaced Mac Antoniak, who retired after 12 years in the role.

Goode has previously worked in senior marketing and sales roles for a number of FMCG companies including Procter & Gamble and Gillette.

SPHE has also appointed Dan Harriss to the role of interim head of customer and catalogue marketing. He joins from Total Home Entertainment’s DVD division where he was a general manager.

SPHE is part of Sony Pictures Entertainment, which has interests covering film and television in 67 countries.
