Sponsors sign up to support Peace One Day event

Coca-Cola, Puma and Ben & Jerry’s have signed up to support this year’s Peace One Day event, which aims to celebrate a day of global ceasefire and non-violence. This year’s event will be held on September 21.

The brands will support the event in a variety of different ways. Coke is launching a limited edition aluminium bottle to help raise awarness of the day and Puma is launching a Peace One Day collection of accessories and a football.

Ecological cleaning brand Ecover, which is also a sponsor, is launching an on-pack promotion encouraging its customers to learn more about Peace One Day. 

Peace One Day, which was launched in 1999, began as a film project founded by British filmmaker Jeremy Gilley and in 2001 the event was adopted by UN member states.
