Strutt and Parker in profile ad push

Property company Strutt & Parker is launching a consumer advertising campaign to raise its profile.

It has appointed start-up agency Dye Holloway Murray (DHM) to handle its advertising and communications. The agency’s brief will be to raise the profile of its commercial property division and to deliver a campaign to capture the company’s personality.

DHM won the account following a pitch against three undisclosed agencies. The campaign is expected to start this summer, though particular details have yet to be finalised.

Rebecca Convington, Strutt & Parker’s head of marketing and PR, says: “We wanted a small company, preferably a start-up, but with large company credentials.”

Covington says the appointment of DHM is new territory for the property company, as “we have not done corporate advertising for many years”.

DHM opened for business this month and its operating model will be split between creative, planning and account management. It has decided against using a retainer model and will charge solely on a project basis. Its first client is environmentally conscious clothing company Howies.
