Swiftcover.com to sponsor sci-fi on Sky

Swiftcover.com, the Axa-owned online insurance brand, has signed a deal to sponsor Sky’s 2009 science fiction season. The deal will run across sci fi shows on BSkyB’s Sky 1, Sky 2 and Sky 3 channels in a six month deal starting in January.

The deal includes programmes such as Battlestar Galactica, A Town called Eureka, Stargate Atlantis and Futurama. It was negotiated by Spark Media with Sky Media, and the idents were created by Swiftcover.com’s retained agency, Mortimer Whitaker O’Sullivan.

It features 15 second opener and closer idents, with five second break bumpers on all episodes. Sponsorship credits will also include logos on all programme specific promotions over 20 seconds in length.

Swiftcover.com was launched in 2005 and offers car, travel and pet insurance products. It was bought by Axa UK in 2007.
