Guardian Media Group (GMG) has appointed Stuart Taylor (pictured), news and media commercial director, to the new role of commercial director for its sister business, GMG Radio. Taylor will oversee commercial strategy across the division.
Taylor, who will report to GMG Radio chief executive John Myers, will be responsible for exploiting new opportunities across its analogue, digital and online platforms along with maximising cross-promotional activity. GMG has yet to announce who will take over Taylor’s previous role.
GMG Radio, which acquired the Century and Saga radio stations last year, has 11 stations across the UK.
Taylor, who takes over his new role in September, is chairman and co-founder of the Newspaper Marketing Agency, and was appointed commercial director of Guardian News & Media in 2004.
