TDI restructures Euro management

Outdoor advertising company TDI has reorganised its senior management and introduced new European responsibilities following a series of acquisitions across the Continent.

TDI executive director Tom Goddard has been named chief operating officer of TDI Europe. He will report to TDI Europe chief executive Jeremy Male.

Mike Baker, TDI’s UK marketing director, has been promoted to European marketing director.

At the company’s UK offices, national sales director Clive Punter and commercial director Andrew Oldham have both been promoted to joint managing director.

Earlier this year, TDI bought France’s Giraudy, the Netherlands’ Mediamax and Finland’s Liikkuvat. Giraudy chairman and chief executive Michel Cacouault has been given a place on the TDI board.

There was speculation in the UK outdoor industry that Male would relinquish his UK responsibilities. Male denies this: “The business has grown significantly. It is now time to recognise the contribution that our senior managers have made to the business over the past few years, and find the best structure for the future in the light of our expansion.”

TDI, owned by US media company CBS, has the contract to sell advertising space on the London Underground, Docklands Light Railway and 95 per cent of UK buses.
