High street fashion brand Ted Baker has created its first ever virtual store and could soon roll out the concept across its estate according to brand communications director Craig Smith.
Ted Baker is introducing new 24/7 beacon technology to its Westfield White City store that enables customers to communicate with in-store mannequins via their smartphones as the creator predicts the technology can become commonplace within UK retailers.
Asos saw 50% of its sales come through a mobile device in February, with the online fashion retailer reporting 3.2 million downloads of its mobile app in the six months to 29 February.
People may be starting to travel again but the threat of quarantine and fears over a second wave make rebuilding consumer confidence in the industry a difficult job.
