Headliners WWP chief executive Martin Sorrell and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak are set to open and close day one of the event, with a further two (as of yet unannounced) headliners ensuring day two will not be any less captivating.

With 12 streams of content and more than 90 influential speakers providing their view on a variety of topics relating to the marketing world today, the Festival is an event not to be missed.

The festival will feature talks by some of the industry’s top marketers. For example, Alex Dimiziani, Airbnb’s head of marketing for EMEA explores whether making “bold sideways moves” could make you a better marketer. Continuing along the line of self-improvement, speakers Helen Tupper, head of marketing at Virgin Red, and Sarah Ellis, head of marketing strategy at Sainsbury’s, delve into the complexities of self-confidence through a discussion entitled ‘Wouldn’t it be amazing if I was confident inside and out?’.

A range of case-studies will provide an insight into the innovative marketing strategies proving to be successful. In a talk examining the revamped Co-operative Bank, its marketing director Alastair Pegg discusses how to turn around a business in trouble.

Other agenda highlights include a talk from the LAD Bible’s marketing director Mimi Turner on the intricacies of targeting an ever more diverse youth, as well as an exploration of the relationship between marketing and philosophy by writer and philosopher Alain de Botton.

With such a supply of prominent speakers and engaging topics there will be no dull moment at this year’s Festival of Marketing. With more speakers to be announced and such a promising agenda already on the table, the event looks set to be thought-provoking, thoroughly enjoyable and – perhaps – even better than last year.
