During my time at university I did various placements at different arts organisations where my role was to assist with marketing. This was my first experience of marketing and ultimately lead me down the path of wanting to work in the industry.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to be both creative and analytical. I’ve now worked in the industry for six years and have found my niche in content. But what I love is the fact no two days are the same.

I think by showing children the diverse opportunities that are around in the industry we can encourage more young people to choose marketing as a career. Not only that, but marketing isn’t what it used be; with technology advancing there are more opportunities opening up day by day. Marketing is so broad it gives people the chance to really find their niche, whether that’s writing, analytics or design.
