Amber-Rose Rawlings
Direct marketing officer, Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust
Five years ago, after I left college, I was lucky enough to find a job in marketing at a local family jewellers, where I began studying for my certificate in marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. The rest is history.
The variety of the industry really appealed to me and the fact that I was putting into practice what I was learning on the job was great.
To get more school age children into marketing, there needs to be more awareness, opportunities and mentors. I think people need to hear first hand what marketing is, how it impacts daily life, what opportunities are out there and be given a guiding hand.
