I originally got into marketing after falling into a B2B ad sales role, from there I moved into media agency roles, first at Adconnection (now part of VCCP) and then MediaCom.

I’ve worked in marketing for six years, of which just under four have been at MediaCom.

I was inspired to get into marketing, specifically media, as it struck me as very evidence-based and matched my scientific background (I studied biology at university).

The biggest barrier to entry for the majority of people is a simple lack of awareness of the breadth of roles and opportunities available in marketing, so more awareness is needed.
