I have been working in marketing ever since I left university, so for six years. During that time I have had the benefit of working for lots of different companies, which has given me exposure to a broad range of skills and experience.

Marketing is something I have been fascinated by since I was very little – I would analyse TV adverts and brand packaging. I love the combination of creativity and science that is needed in marketing to create successful campaigns and the continuous evolution of the field that means I am always learning.

More education about what marketing is, the skills that can be gained from working in marketing and the opportunities to tap into both the creative and analytical mind need to be explained. This might be done through workshops, videos or getting the children to work on projects where they can learn about marketing more practically.
