I studied a marketing module in a business studies course I took at college and I’ve loved the subject ever since.

For me, marketing is about eliciting emotion in our audiences, I knew that was something I’d never get bored of doing. I graduated from the University of Keele in 2011 and have been working in marketing ever since.

If we want more young people to consider a career in marketing we need to change the introductions to marketing, which I find are often very business-like. We're portrayed as another business function, but in reality if a brand was our blank canvas then the marketer is the painter. To inspire more school age children we need to capture the imagination and the emotion involved in awesome marketing.
