I have always been fascinated by how businesses take consumers on the journey from not knowing about their products, to buying them occasionally, right the way through to the point when shoppers become advocates of these products and won’t consider buying alternatives.
When I realised marketing played a big part in that process, I knew it’s what I wanted to do. I studied marketing at Aston University in Birmingham where I became the president of the marketing society. I also undertook a marketing-related placement during my third year.
Since graduating in 2016, I have been part of the Direct Line Group graduate programme where I’ve worked across various marketing roles in digital, brand communications and new propositions development.
When I was in school, I wanted to make a difference in the world I live in. We need to show children how marketing can impact the world in a positive way, as well as being fun and creative.
