The Home Office launches sex trafficking awareness posters

The Home Office is launching a poster campaign to raise awareness of the exploitation and trafficking of women among men who pay for sex. The campaign was launched yesterday (Monday) by Home Office minister Vernon Coaker.

An outdoor campaign is being piloted in men’s toilets in pubs and clubs in Westminster and Nottingham. It will be supported by online advertising, with additional advice on the UK Human Trafficking Centre’s “Blue Blindfold” website.

The work, which has been created by RKCR/Y&R, is part of the Government’s six month review into tackling the demand for prostitution. It aims to raise awareness of the issue and is a key part of the UK Action Plan on Tackling Human Trafficking.
