The Met Office seeks design agencies

The Met Office, provider of the national weather service for the UK, is on the hunt for design agencies to work on the brand and support the Met Office Design Studio.

The appointed agency or agencies will provide design and artworking for print and new media projects.

The Met office provides a variety of services for the public, business and Government. These include Severe Weather Warnings, Leisure Marine forecasts and Mountain area forecasts.

The Met Office is based in Exeter and became a Trading Fund within the Ministry of Defence in 1996, which means it is required to act as a commercial business and meet agreed performance targets.

It is overseen and directed by the Under Secretary of State for Defence Kevan Jones.
