The Mob wins Alpha group’s cinema task

Christian study group Alpha has hired film company The Mob to produce its first cinema ads, to premier this September (MW May 5).

The advertising campaign for the Alpha study courses, run by the Holy Trinity Brompton Church in London, is the UK’s biggest annual Christian campaign with a spend of up to £1m.

The commercials will run in conjunction with the church group’s annual poster campaign, designed this year by design company Button.

Last year’s ads featured a mobile phone with the text message, “Is there more to life than this?” The 2005 campaign will show the question typed into an internet search engine.

Posters and leaflets will be distributed among churches from next week and ads will also be appearing on billboards, buses and taxis around the country.

The cinema ads have a different content, created by an in-house team, and will break later in the year.
