The Pru appoints new head of marketing
The Prudential has restructured its marketing department and has appointed a marketing director for the whole company for the first time.
Mike Tildesley is to become marketing communications director. He was recently in charge of the Prudential’s approach to fee disclosure. Before that he was marketing services director for its financial services division.
Tildesley will be supported by five marketing heads. A head of advertising has yet to be appointed, but Dominic Owens, presently advertising and corporate identity manager, is tipped by company sources for the job.
Marketing for the financial services division has been merged with the corporate division following a review of head office operations. A further merger of the Prudential’s two retail operations took place in April with the result that its direct selling and financial advisor operations come under the same marketing arm.
Other marketing heads will include heads of internal communications and public relations.
