Ogilvy & Mather’s TV and press ads for Kotex tampons carry glamorous straplines such as “Looking gorgeous” and “For lingerie lovers”. With this in mind, the Diary was perturbed to learn – while being given a somewhat bewildering impromptu product presentation, which stopped just short of demonstration – that O&M’s internal (ahem) name for the Kotex account is “Project Fish”.
